I developed an interest in photography as I was traveling through Greece in 1987. Interestingly enough, that was not much of value photography-wise, as the 400+ slides I shot during the trip were the perfect example of what one should not do. Nevertheless, that experience has been followed by many, allowing to refine my vision and technique and become more selective.
I'm a passionate traveler, and never miss an opportunity to go and discover new landscapes, or meet new people, within the only limit of what daily life allows. Nevertheless, Corsica remains my main inspiration, as it offers an endless selection of landscapes and lightings, and I spend most of my freetime going up and down on the island.
After so many years focusing only on black and white photography, I have found lately some interest in color photography. But I must admit that most of my work remains black and white as it is where my creativity better expresses itself.
Lastly, I'd like to share few technical considerations and tell that I very often use long exposures (several seconds) to very long exposures (several minutes). That technique, mastered after serious testing, allows this special rendering it gives on moving elements like water or clouds. I like the contrast between the softness of what moves and the sharpness of what doesn't.
In closing, I'd like to thank my wife Méline and my daughter Caroline for all their support, and for the availability they concede to myself.
